Deep Thoughts…

When changing channels on the TV, does anyone else ever worry that radiation is beaming back at them from the remote?

Remotes beam infrared light to the tv or whatever device they are controlling. The power output is only a few milliwatts at most–absolutely nothing to worry about.
I also know that there aren’t whales in the swimming pool– and even it there were, they wouldn’t hurt me.
But that doesn’t keep me from being freaked out about it. 😉
No.
The sun puts out way more (dangerous) radiation than a tv remote could possibly do.
Are you kidding? That’s how I got my super powers.
And yet ANOTHER thing to worry about! (hahah)
I don’t really worry all that much about it…
Nah. I think the batteries would zorch before you burned yourself on the IR transmitters, and even then, since it’s so directional, backscatter is a non issue.
