I have been going back and forth for over a year now on keeping a real live honest to goodness blogger-type blog on the myriad Things That Interest Me. I know, I know, I already have an LJ to which I spill my guts with varying degrees of frequency, but I have often thought it would be really cool to keep one of those professional type blogs where entities would vie to advertise across my pages and I could reap the passive income rewards for simply giving the world a piece of my mind.
Granted, in order to do so, I would need a tad more consistency in updating than I have shown here-to-fore, but what really holds me back is… I’m not sure. Am I too personal in my journaling style? Perhaps… Sometimes I feel I reveal too much me and MEH to make it worthy of true Professional Blogging. That and too, I often wonder if what I have to say is of any interest to anyone.
What would I say in my blog anyway, that I don’t already say here? I’ve created a wordpress blog, but go back and forth on content and intent. Am I WAHM Urban Homesteader type blogger? Am I a Traditional Nutrition and Recipe Forum blogger? Modern Homemaker Struggling Against the Adversities of Mental Instability and Impossibly High Standards of Motherhood and What it is to be Human?
Ok, so maybe that last one is a tad long for a blog title. I’ve been noticing that most of the blogs I tend to follow are rather streamlined and narrow in their approach. But I am neither streamlined, nor narrow in any sense of the word. I look to some of my Blogger Heroes, like the Pioneer Woman. She is the quintessential Blog Goddess who does it all; funny, informative, posting recipes and relevance with finesse and style…
I post way too much angst to make a useful blog. Maybe one day when I grow up I will have one… 😛
